Our annual Stars and Stripes Sale will be from August 16th, through 18th.  We need help on the 14th and 15th to pick-up and accept donations.  On the 19th we'll need help cleaning up and disposing of un-sold donations.  Contact Joan Altemus if you are able to help.

Post 265 is going to build and install book-share shelters for island residents.  We have a model shelter but looking for people to build one or more.   If you can help, contact Commander Cook at

Bingo Helpers

Wednesday night Bingo provides us the revenue we need to continue our support of Island charities and veteran assistance. The various jobs are rotated between multiple members so it's not a matter of volunteering for every session.  The jobs are:

- Caller (can play bingo when not calling games)

- Ticket Handler (can't play bingo)

- Cash Handler (can't play bingo)

- Winner Card Verification (can play bingo)

Training will be provided.  Please contact Larry Schuler at

We need a few people to help place American flags on the graves of veterans buried at the Island Cemetery on Memorial Day weekend.   Meet at 0900 on Saturday, May 25th.
